Update Sept. 8 ,2021

Hello LBP students and families!

 

I hope all of you had a relaxing and safe summer!

 

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Note that our school start time has changed to 8:55 am. The students from grades 1-8 will gather on the basketball court on the west side of the school and the FDK students will gather in the kindergarten pen either behind the school (Mrs. Selig's class) or to the east side of the school (Mrs. Ricci's class).  Remember that for this week the FDK students are only here for one half of a school day.

 

Please note that there may be reorganization of classes taking place due to ongoing student registration. it is also possible that classes may have to be reorganized as late as mid-October.

 

The school is also in the process of hiring teachers for homeroom classes as well so it is very possible your child may begin the school year with a supply teacher.

 

We ask that parent(s)/guardian(s) not be on the basketball hardtop while classes gather in the morning. Please wait on the sidewalk to the north of the school or behind the fence located south of the basketball court. Parents should be wearing a mask if you are unable to socially distance yourselves, even while outside.

 

We do have a number of students with severe allergies - please ensure your students do not have any snacks/lunches with products that contain nuts. In some cases there are other severe food allergies in classes and this information will be communicated to the appropriate families.

 

Please remember to make sure your child has a labelled reusable water bottle at school.

 

Parents/caregivers cannot enter the school building unless an appointment has been made with a staff member. Please remember to check in with the office first if you are coming in for an appointment.

 

Our Meet the Teacher Night is scheduled for September 30th and will be in a virtual format (Google Meet).

 

There will be an after school program running this year on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and will begin the week of Sept 27th. More details will follow about this.

 

The Lunch Lady program will be running again this year. Details will follow shortly.
